The Presbytery is in the process of preparing care-kits to be picked up by members of the Presbytery in the June meeting. Every kit will be addressed to one of the above service personnel and any other personal messages or materials may be added and sent with our prayers and appreciation. Every kit will contain: a cross; a camo vinyle-cover Bible; a camo bandana inscribed with the words of Psalm 91 and an appreciation letter from the Palisades Presbytery. We hope that this gesture will be a source of hope and encouragement to the receipients. A $20.00 donation per kit will be very helpful in defraying the cost.
Update from Stated Meeting, June 16, 2009:
Thanks to all Presbytery members. All kits were picked up with a lot of heartfelt appreciation. Also, an agreement with Camp Johnsonberg was made to enable Children of Military Personnel to attend summer camp. Thanks as well for keeping the servicemen and women in your prayers.
